Each rug gets treated as an individual piece. There’s no need to worry about your beloved rug being tossed in with others. It won’t be battered around in a washing machine or be lumped in with someone else’s rugs. Every step of our process is purposeful, and each piece receives the same detailed cleaning.

Fine rugs need comprehensive care, which happens on the inside and outside. Anything less reduces the lifespan of your rug, and we want you to enjoy it for as long as possible. To ensure that, we use a multi-step process that eliminates dirt, foreign material, stains, and more.

Our Process

We take great care with each rug entrusted to us. It’s important to follow each step of the process to completion so that every rug is clean, sanitized, and in excellent condition when we’re finished.

Step 1 – Inspection

Before any cleaning begins, we perform a complete inspection for each rug. We test for dye stability (to avoid bleeding), note any stains or damage, look at wear patterns, and anything else of note. We’ll share our findings with you and lay out our plan to clean and restore your rug.

Step 2 – Dusting

Extensive dusting is the first step in our fine rug cleaning. It’s critical to remove all dirt, dust, and other material (such as dander) from the rug. Even if you thoroughly vacuum your rug at home regularly, these things build up in ways a standard vacuum can’t reach. We have the right tools for the job, however, and getting rid of all that grit and dirt is our first move. It primes the rug for our next step.

Step 3 – Cleaning

After taking care to identify the fibers and material of your rug, we select the best products for the job. Each rug gets the perfect cleaning mix to remove stains and odors without damaging the rug itself. We want to return it like new, and choosing the right products is one of the best ways to do so.

During the cleaning step, we put extra focus on soiled areas. If your rug has pet stains, spilled liquids or food, mud, or anything else, we’ll remove it. Our products and equipment do such a great job, you’ll never know there was a stain at all.

Step 4 – Rinsing

Once we’re completely satisfied that the shampoo has done its job, we’ll do a complete rinse. This gets rid of any remaining soap, eliminates lingering debris, and leaves your rug fresh. Since we certainly won’t return it wet, we use special equipment to remove all excess water to kick start the drying process.

Step 5 – Drying

We won’t just toss your rug into a dryer and hope for the best. We have a specially designed space and equipment to safely dry your fine rugs, regardless of the material.

Dry Cleaning

Some rugs are particularly fragile or made of delicate material. In those specific cases, we offer dry cleaning to keep your rug intact. During our initial inspection, we’ll determine whether your rug should go through our standard cleaning process or dry-cleaning.
